Don Olsen – Bob Worden – Pat Byars
…Some years ago in Spartanburg SC Bob & Pat wrote and recorded a bunch of tunes, (mostly bouncing tracks between 2 tape decks), played in several bands, (the Detonators, the Abuse)…lots of gigs throughout the east coast. After that Pat moved to Los Angeles working as a recording engineer (Motown Records, etc.)…He played and recorded with artists such as Victoria Williams, The Insect Surfers, Bruce Joyner, Spike Marlin…Produced a record for French artist, Suspense Rubberband, toured Europe opening for acts, The Gun Club, Manfred Mann…Touring and front man for his own bands, First Men On The Sun, Blood Everywhere, Eye, and Eye Scream Headache…
Pat moved to Atlanta, teamed up with Don Olsen, (Boxcar Radio, How & Why) and reunited with Bob who had been working as a solo singer songwriter, (full length CD 2010 release “Sparkle City Tunes” on ESH records) Now – together as Hat on a Bed, writing/recording songs for their first 2015 CD release “Stone Valley” (an eclectic mix of styles – Swing, Americana, Rock, Country, Folk, etc…)
2019 saw the release of (vinyl 45RPM) single “Bampot” b/w “February Ghost”.
